This summer we’re taking it back to the streets through our new partnership with BALL OUT, London’s biggest streetball basketball competition.  For those who know, Midnight Madness has been at the heart of the UK streetball since day 1 and so it was only right that we went back to our roots and put our feet back onto the concrete.

The Ball Out Championship offers ballers from all levels the opportunity to come out and compete in fast-past 3on3 action, with music, food, good people and summer vibes from start to finish.  With divisions for U18 and adults, both mens and women’s divisions – there’s plenty of playing opportunities for you to get in where you fit in.

Last weekend saw over 180 ballers show up over the weekend for the second qualifier of three, take place in West London’s Ravenscourt Park, as ballers from West London came out to stake their claim on a place in the finals at the end of August.  Though the love of the game is the real draw, there is also a potentially HUGE prize waiting for the best of the best in the men’s division as Ball Out event organiser Julius Joseph explained:  “There is a lot of talent across London, and given that we’re endorsed by FIBA this year, all of the Elite Men are hoping to make the Ball Out 2016 Finals in the hope of winning an all-expenses-paid trip to Hungary to compete in a tournament for a cash prize of £30,000!”.

He didn’t stutter.

30 bags to the winner!  Thanks FIBA 😉

All you have to do is qualify for the final (you still have one more chance on 6th August), win the final and then go to Hungary on an all expenses paid trip and win there.  £30,000 for some summer hoops fun in the sun. Nice.

MMTV’s Swarzy Macaly went along to the West London qualifier to check out the action and see what was really good with both the male and female ballers live, as ever, from courtside:

Ball Out’s final qualifier will be happening from Friday 5th – Saturday 6th August 2016 at Cunningham Park, Harrow Recreation Ground, 132 Hindes Road, London, HA1 1RR.

Don’t sleep – this is your summer fix – GET INVOLVED while you can…
