Matthew Bryan-Amaning has been an unstoppable force so far this season in Mexican basketball’s premier professional league, most recently earning the Latinbasket.com LNBP Player of the Week. Bryan-Amaning is the current league MVP (Most Valuable Player) and seems on track to win the award again after yet another dominant performance where he finished with an impressive double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds to help his team, Soles de Mexicali, close out the game against Santos, 91-77.
The 27 year old is arguably one of the best power forwards to ever emerge from Britain, and his contribution in round 16 has enabled Soles to hold down the top spot in the Mexican LNBP.
With Bryan-Amaning currently averaging 18.9 points and 6.1 rebounds, Soles look in good shape to win the regular season title as they currently sit on top of the league table at 18-1, 5 games clear of their nearest rivals.
MM All-star, MBA, said, “I feel honoured to be recognised for my performance, but everyone at Soles is solid and all about the win. As always, I’ve got to thank Midnight Madness for all the coverage whilst I’m away as it’s great to know my performance is being recognised at home. Playing as part of the Midnight Madness Travel Team this summer has been great momentum for me going into the season, so I’m going to stay focussed and concentrate on this championship.”
