Partnering up and supporting local clubs is a big part of the Midnight Madness mission in the hope that the tour can help bring some well-deserved attention to good local clubs so those interested in playing basketball post-Madness can do so locally, with quality coaches and teams.  This year, MM have teamed up with the City Of Birmingham Basketball Club who provide basketball sessions for a wide range of abilities and age groups right in the heart of Birmingham.

Director of City of Birmingham Basketball Club, Rob Palmer, said, “City of Birmingham Basketball Club offers an extensive delivery for ballers of all abilities and ages. If you want to play we invite you to come and join us on our journey and find out how you can be the best you can.  To find the right session for you email the club at and also visit our website for all the latest club news!”

MM’s resident ‘Voice Of Reason’, Nhamo Shire, said, “It’s great to back in Birmingham!  We have a rich and treasured history with this city, having staged a number of Midnight Madness qualifier events here in the past and have always been impressed by the high level of talent and passion for the game here.  We’ve had a number of MM winners from the region over the years too, who have come away with us on our international trips such as old school guys like Wayne Robinson and Keith Jarrett through to the current stars like Myles Hesson.  We know we’ll find some talented ballers this year and thought it was only right to launch the new campaign in Birmingham for all the city has contributed to the game over the years.  Linking in with City Of Birmingham continues our mission to provide local players and new people to the sport, with opportunities to play, compete and excel within our sport.”
