Myles ‘Myles High’ Hesson continued to show and prove why he is currently regarded as one of the best British ballers playing overseas as he dismantled Limoges with a devastating stat line of 22 points, 4 boards, 4 dimes and 4 steals in leading Dijon to a 99-80 win in French pro ball’s top division.
Dijon (15-12) are currently sitting in 9th place in Pro A, just 1 place away from securing the all-important 8th playoff spot, and so the win was huge as they keep the heat on 8th place Nanterre (17-11).
Although out-rebounded on both the offensive and defensive end, Dijon forced their opponents to 15 turnovers and dished out 25 assists and 11 steals in pummelling their opponents into defeat.
Hesson has continued to impress all season, now as a starter in one of Europe’s most athletic and respected leagues. In reflecting on the win, ‘Myles High’ said “We ran more than we have all season. As soon as we got a stop on the defensive end, we pushed the ball and created a lot of open shots. We out worked our opponents, and the home crowd helped us keep the intensity up for the full 40 minutes.”
With their eyes firmly fixed on a playoff spot and the team anchored by Hesson’s inspired play, Dijon will look to continue their success in their next game as they take on 3rd placed Strasbourg in a midweek clash.
We’ll be following Hesson’s quest to lead Dijon into the post-season, but in the meantime catch him in action at home catching bodies in the Midnight Madness Birmingham Qualifier last summer:
