PAUL PIERCE DAGGER SEALS GAME 3: “I CALLED GAME!”

Paul Pierce is ‘The Truth’.  In game, in name and now in post-game interviews.  Pierce has been killing teams in the Eastern Conference this post-season (Hi Toronto) with buzzer-beaters, toughness and veteran leadership.

After wasting a 21 point lead at home against the ‘never say die’ Hawks, Pierce caught the ball in his sweet spot with a smaller Schroeder switching out onto him, waved away Beal and then proceeded to make the toughest shot of the game with 3 Hawks jumping out on him.

As good as the shot was, the post-game interview was even better.  ESPN’s Chris Broussard asked Pierce if he meant to bank the game-winner which dropped in off the glass:

Broussard: “Did you call bank?”

Pierce: (after looking genuinely stunned at why anyone would question his greatness) “I called GAME!”

He then walks off mid-interview *drop the mic and exit stage left*.

The Truth will set you free.

Roll on game 4…
